Locked out of the house
Front doors, back doors, screen doors and the sliding doors that face the river. Picked or bypassed wherever the lock allows, so the lock still works after we leave and you are not paying for hardware you did not need.
Locked out of the car
Opened with proper air wedges and long reach tools, never a screwdriver down the window seal. If the key is lost rather than locked in, we cut and program a replacement beside the car for most makes on the road.
Lost keys and rekeying
A new key cut to the lock on site, or the barrel rekeyed so the missing key stops working anywhere in the house. If the lost key carried anything with your address on it, we rekey — that is not a conversation we have.
Break-in repairs
Doors, jambs, strikers and screen frames put back together and made secure the same night. We photograph the damage before we touch it so your insurer has what it needs.
Deadlocks and upgrades
Deadbolts and deadlatches fitted to AS 4145, keyed alike so one key runs the whole house, and restricted profiles if you want keys that cannot be copied at a hardware counter.
Units, shops and rentals
Tenancy changeovers along Oxford Street, master key plans for small blocks, and mailbox and common-door locks for body corporates on the Hawthorne side.
A 1920s rim lock and a 2024 electronic strike need two different vans.
Half of Bulimba was built before the war and never had its hardware changed. The other half went up in the last fifteen years with electronic access on the front entry. A locksmith who only stocks for one of those will end up drilling the other.

On the peninsula, usually fifteen to twenty-five minutes. We tell you a real number on the phone, and if traffic on Wynnum Road changes it we ring you rather than let you wonder.
You get the full price before we leave the workshop — call-out and labour together, not a call-out fee with the real number added later. It does not change once we arrive unless you ask for extra work.
Rarely. Picking or bypassing comes first and works on most locks in Bulimba. If a lock genuinely cannot be opened without damage we tell you that before we start, along with what replacing it costs.
No call-out surcharge for after hours. The price quoted at 2am is the price you would get at 2pm.
Yes. We deal with the unit door, and if the common entry is the problem we can usually work with the building manager or your body corporate the next morning.
We cut a new key to the lock on site. If the key went missing somewhere public and had anything identifying on it, we would rekey instead — a new key that works is not the same as a missing key that no longer does.
